Data imprintReference timeSigned token
How it works: evidence of time linked to the cryptographic imprint of your data.

Standard and Premium serve different functions.

Standard: the RFC 3161 protocol

Your application prepares a binary TSQ request from a digest and receives a binary TSR response. This RFC 3161 service already provides qualified timestamping.

RFC 3161 documentation

Premium: additional processing

Depending on your plan, use digest, file or PDF functions along with search, retrieval and evidence presentation tools.

Premium API documentation

Choose the result your workflow needs.

A TSR response

Retain the technical result for integration into your own evidence processing.

A timestamped PDF

Use the appropriate PDF function when your workflow requires a document with an embedded timestamp.

Understand PDF processing

A PDF operation certificate

Present information about an existing operation in a readable document. Generating it is a separate consumption event.

Understand evidence artefacts

Prepare an integration your team can operate.

  1. Define the workflow

Specify input data, expected output and how the data and evidence will be retained.

  2. Activate access

Define the service scope, access and required options with Datasure.

  3. Test and deploy

Validate processing and evidence verification. Dedicated preproduction depends on the order and the agreed scope.

Answers to help you plan your project.

Does Standard provide qualified timestamping?

Yes. The Standard RFC 3161 service provides qualified timestamping. Premium adds technical functions and service arrangements.

Are the TSR, timestamped PDF and PDF certificate interchangeable?

They serve different purposes: a technical response, a document containing a timestamp and a presentation of an existing operation. Choose and retain the artefacts needed for your scenario.

How should evidence presentation usage be estimated?

Generating a PDF operation certificate consumes one timestamp token. Include that requirement in your application’s expected operations.

Is preproduction available?

Dedicated preproduction is provided within the Premium framework and defined by the order. Prepare access and the testing scope with Datasure.

Does receiving an HTTP response validate the timestamp?

Also check the RFC 3161 response status and the evidence itself. Receiving an HTTP response and performing cryptographic verification are separate processing steps.
